BD France acquires another hatchery in France
DanHatch Group's French subsidiary BD France has per May 1st 2023 acquired another hatchery in France. The hatchery Saint Hilaire is located in the western part of the country 30 km south of Nantes.
Saint Hilaire is a newer hatchery from 2017 with 35 employees and a hatching capacity of approximately 42 million day-old chicks per year. Included in the purchase are associated rearing and hatching egg farms of a total of 19,000 square metres.
With the new acquisition, BD France now consists of six hatcheries, which together have a hatching capacity of approximately 250 million day-old chicks on an annual basis.
